    History

Our Past

Pan-Pacific Mechanical has a rich and vibrant past, we have over 70 years in the construction industry and have a bright future ahead of us. Starting out of the back of a single truck, we have built this company from the ground up into one of the biggest plumbing and mechanical contractors in the US.

On March 5, 1947, Pan-Pacific Plumbing Co. first opened its doors. Our first location was minutes away from Universal Studios at 4131 N. Lankershim Blvd., North Hollywood, CA.

Pan-Pacific is Founded

Within a year, Sam McMackin joined Pan-Pacific and helped build the company into what it has become today. John Mc Intyre also joined as Vice President, and Jack E. McMackin became secretary.

The Green Shack is one of Pan-Pacific's most infamous locations, its green hand-painted sign hung above the front desk, and still hangs in our offices today. To honor our humble beginnings, one of our conference rooms is named in its honor.

Influential longtime employee Jack Loyd begins working at Pan-Pacific Plumbing Co. Jack has continued to work for Pan, and has been working for Pan-Pacific for close to 60 years.

Respected longtime employee Angie Bolognia begins working at Pan-Pacific Plumbing Co. Pan-Pacific was 15 years old when Angie started.

November 10th, 1961

Angie Bolognia Joins Pan-Pacific

The company makes a transition as the company is passed from father to son. Ron McMackin had been working at the company since he was 18, and served the company for over 10 years before taking ownership. Ron and his brothers took over the company and began to build it in their father’s legacy.

Pan-Pacific moves offices to 17911 Mitchell South, Irvine CA 92614. This was the first building with a connected warehouse, we could offer more extensive prefabrication services.

Pan-Pacific expands by opening a regional office at 11622 El Camino Real, Ste. 100, San Diego, CA 92120 to better support our San Diego projects.

Pan-Pacific appoints Cindy McMackin as president, and for the first time in 60 years Pan-Pacific becomes a woman owned enterprise.

Pan-Pacific Plumbing Co. begins doing business as Pan-Pacific Plumbing and Mechanical as we rebrand and begin to expand our HVAC industry.

Pan-Pacific follows our long term repeat customer, McCarthy Builders into a new market to provide plumbing construction services for Stanford Hospital from our new offices at 4085 Campbell Avenue, Menlo Park, CA 94025

As work expands in Northern California, a larger office was procured in 2013. The new NoCal Headquarters is at 1205 Chrysler Drive, Menlo Park, CA 94025

Pan-Pacific begins doing work in Hawaii, bringing our experience in healthcare to the KAPI'OLANI MEDICAL CENTER in Honolulu Oahu, Hawaii. we have built an amazing ʻohana there and look forward to further expansion.

December 10, 2013

Open offices in Hawaii

Pan-Pacific opens the doors on a new state-of-the-art 60,000+ SQRT corporate headquarters at 18250 Euclid Street. Fountain Valley, CA 92708

Pan-Pacific Plumbing and Mechanical becomes Pan-Pacific Mechanical.

Pan-Pacific becomes 100% Employee Owned. We put the ownership in the hands of the people we trust the most.
